Dry Hair





* Warm half a cup of mayonnaise and apply to your hair. Cover with a shower cap and leave for 15-20 minutes, then shampoo as usual.

* Massage your head with a paste of a mashed ripe banana and mashed ripe avocado mixed together. Rinse with cold water after 15 minutes.

* Break an aloe vera leaf and squeeze out the liquid. Apply this liquid to your scalp and wash after an hour.

* Massage the scalp with warm almond, coconut or olive oil, cover your hair with a warm and wet towel for around 30 minutes and then shampoo as usual.

* Mix together half a cup of curd and a tablespoon honey. Apply this mixture on your scalp, hair strands and ends. Shampoo after 30 minutes.

* Add 2 tablespoon gram flour to a cup of coconut milk and mix well. Gently massage it into your scalp and rinse well after 5-10 minutes.

* Mix honey with warm and apply the paste on your scalp and hair. Leave for 35-40 minutes and then shampoo as usual.

* After washing your hair, use flat beer (beer without the fizz) as the last rinse.

Common Ailments




Common cold: Mix a tablespoonful of limejuice with half a cup of boiling water. Add enough honey to sweeten it. Drink it hot and take rest. The effect is almost immediate.

Sore throat: Mix honey and chunnam(lime) and smear it over the depression below the Adam’s apple on the throat.

Indigestion and pain in the stomach: Mash a raw piece of ginger and squeeze out the juice by adding some hot water. Add honey to the juice and drink it warm.

Headache: Take a few cloves of garlic and rub them over a stone adding a few drops of water. Heat the paste in a spoon and smear it over the forehead with bearable warmth. It gives instant relief.

Influenza: A decoction made out of pepper and jaggery or honey is a check on influenza.

Dysentery: Strong tea without milk or sugar is a treatment for dysentery.

For insect bites and stings: Rub a half-cut of onion over the offending spot. It takes away the poison immediately.
