Natural Foods are the best resistance to disease








Melon: This fruit is excellent cleanser and re-hydrator as it has high water content.

Apple: This fruit works as a tonic. It relieves constipation, reduces total cholesterol and removes toxins.

Fig: This fruit is rich source of calcium and has laxative properties.

Mango: Reduces acidity and helps in gaining weight.

Grape: It is a cleanser of blood and has anti-allergic properties.

Lemon: Works as bleaching agent and has properties to fight cancer. Helps in reducing gall stones.

Pears: This fruit helps to increase free flow of urine, and are good for thyroid glands.

Unwanted Split Ends of Hair







 
* Mix together equal quantities of castor oil, mustard oil and olive oil and work it well into your hair. Cover your hair with a hot towel and shampoo after 30 minutes.

* Mash an avocado and add hot olive oil to it. Apply it to damp hair and shampoo after 15-20 minutes.

* Warm half a cup of mayonnaise and apply to your hair. Cover your hair with a shower cap and leave for 30 minutes, then shampoo as usual. Repeat this process once a week.

* Peel and deseed half a ripe papaya and blend it to a pulp. Add half a cup yogurt to it and apply it on your scalp, hair stands and ends. Shampoo after 30 minutes.

* Mix together half a cup of curd and a tablespoon honey. Apply this mixture on your scalp, hair strands and ends. Shampoo after 30 minutes.

* Dry grind half a cup of black dal(lentil) and one tablespoon fenugreek(methi) seeds to a coarse powder. Add half a cup of curd to it, mix well and apply it all over your scalp and shampoo after 1 hour.
 
* Apply coconut milk all over the scalp and massage it into the roots. Wrap your hair with a towel and shampoo after 30 minutes.

* Mix together honey and a mashed banana and apply it on your hair. Cover this pack with a hot towel and shampoo after an hour.

* Massage coconut oil or warm olive oil into your hair and cover with a warm and wet towel. Shampoo after half an hour.

Sunburn






Rose water: Add to 200ml of boiling water, 50g rose petals and chamomile. Cool and apply all over the face and burnt areas for effective relief.

Green tea compress: Brew a pot of green tea and let it cool. Soak a clean cloth in the brew and use it as a compress for the burnt areas. The tea contains ingredients that help protect the skin from ultra-violet rays, which cause damage. This also reduces inflammation.

Tender coconut: Tender coconut water can be applied on the face and hands to cool down the skin and prevent allergic.

Mint: Mint is great for tanned skin. Apply diluted mint juice all over the face, leave it for 10 minutes and wash with cool water.

Vegetables and Fruits: For painful spots of sunburn, rub the area gently with sliced cucumber or potato. They contain compounds that cool burns and reduce swelling.
Smashed apricots applied on the burnt areas (for 15 minutes) and then washed off with luke-warm water are great soothers for irritated skin.

Cold Soak: For immediate relief, soak the sunburn areas in cold water. Or, you can use a cold compress for 15 minutes on the affected areas. The cold reduces the swelling.

Aloe Vera: Apply a light coating of pure Aloe Vera gel on the damaged skin. This is one of the best ways to soothe sunburns.

Buttermilk: Dip a wad of cotton in diluted and chilled buttermilk. Use this to coat the area of sunburn. Dab the area three to four times. The sunburn will disappear almost instantly.

Watermelon: Watermelon juice can soothe and hydrate the skin in summer. Apply the juice, let it stay on for 15 minutes and then rinse off.
