Healthy Hair





* Never ignore the importance of drinking at least eight glasses of water every day. Besides hydrating your skin and body, it also hydrates your hair.

* Eating a well-balanced diet rich in proteins and vitamins will keep your hair healthy and glowing.

* Get your hair trimmed every 6 weeks.

* Stop washing your hair with hot water and use cold water instead. Hot water is torture for your hair.

* Wash your brush or comb at least once a week.

* Do not use too many chemical products or hair styling tools on your hair.

* Choose the shampoo and conditioner that suits your hair type. The milder the shampoo and conditioner you use, the better it is.

* At least seven to eight hours of uninterrupted sleep is important for healthy hair. It isn’t called ‘beauty sleep’ for nothing. Cut down your sleep rations for just a few nights and effect will show up in your hair.
 
* Give up smoking and drinking.

* Exercise regularly and spend some time on meditation and yoga on a regular basis.

* Do not expose yourself too much to the sun as its ultraviolet rays are harmful for both skin and hairs.

Dark Circles






* Apply a paste made from one teaspoon tomato juice, half teaspoon lemon juice, a pinch of turmeric powder and a pinch of gram flour on the affected area. Keep for 10 minutes and then wash with water.

* Dip cotton balls in cucumber or potato juice and place them on your eyes for 15 minutes. Alternatively you can cover your eyeslids with slices of raw potato or cucumber for 15-20 minutes. Wash with warm water and thereafter apply a cream.

* Dip cotton balls in chilled water or in rose water and keep for 5-10 minutes on the eyes.

* Apply a paste of fenugreek seeds mixed in milk on dark circles before going to bed and wash with water in the morning.

* Put slices of oil-rich avocado each eye.

* Place chilled used tea bags on closed eyes for 10 minutes.

* Apply mint juice on the under eye area and leave for 20 minutes.

* Mix crushed parijat flowers (night jasmine) with curd and apply this pack under your eyes. Leave for 10 minutes and then wash with cold water.

 * Prepare a juice of tomatoes and a few mint leaves. Add salt to taste and drink this daily.

* Make a paste of pineapple juice and turmeric powder and apply it on the under eye area.

* Massage the affected area with almond oil at night before going to bed.

* Make a paste by mixing almond powder in milk and apply it under the eyes. Wash after 10-15 minutes.

* Mix equal quantities of castor oil and milk cream and massage it around the eyes. Leave for 10-15 minutes and thereafter wash thoroughly.


Scars






 * Make a paste of sandalwood powder and rose water and apply it over the scar. Let it dry and then wash with cold water.

* Rub honey on the scar several times a day.
 
* Apply cucumber juice on the affected area, leave for 15 minutes and wash the face with cold water.

* Mix together equal quantities of sour cream, yogurt and ground oatmeal and add a few drops of lemon juice. Apply this mixture on your face, leave for 10 minutes and then wash with water.

* Apply aloe vera juice on the affected area twice a day.

* Prepare a paste of multani mitti(fuller’s earth), a few drops of lemon juice and some rose water and apply this paste on the affected area. Leave for 10-15 minutes and then wash with cold water. Repeat this process twice everyday.

* Apply essential oil of lavender on the scars with a cotton ball twice a day.
 
* Soak a cotton ball in blanched green tea and massage over the scar.

* Mash a ripe banana and apply it all over the face. Leave for 10 minutes and then wash off.

* Dab a cotton ball in one teaspoon lemon juice and smooth it over the affected area. Leave for 10 minutes and then wash with water.

* Cut a raw garlic clove into half and rub it gently on the affected area several times a day. Rubbing ice cubes on the scars several times a day can also do the magic.

* Smear some tea tree oil or coconut oil on the affected area and gently rub it in several times a day.

* Cut a tomato into half and rub it gently on your face. Leave for 15 minutes and then wash with water.
