Remedies for Dry Skin


Simple tips to prevent dry skin:






* Use cumin, coriander and turmeric with spices in your diet.




* Eat fresh fruits.

* Consume sweet foods. It helps to build up the starch content in the skin.


* Drink about 7 to 8 glasses of water daily.

* Avoid alcohols and caffeine containing beverages. They can make the skin drier.

* Don’t use chemical soaps. They take away the natural oil from your skin/ face.

* Do regular yoga and aerobic exercises. It helps the skin clean and soft.

* Massage your face with rose water and glycerin twice a week. This will remove the dryness of your body.

* Protect your skin from harsh sunlight and air pollution. It takes away the moistures and oils from your skin.


Some home remedies for dry skin:



Prepare a paste: Take 1 teaspoon egg yolk, 1-2 teaspoons milk powder and 1 teaspoon honey. Apply this paste on face, neck and other dry skin area and let it dry for 10-15 minutes, then wash your face with cold water.





Use cucumber: Use cucumber on your face. Its juice has a cooling effect on your face and provides the lost water content and reduces dryness.




Honey: Take half-tablespoon of honey and mix it with 1-2 tablespoon of rose water. Apply on your face, neck and other dry skin area.




Almonds: Massage your skin with almond oil. It makes your skin soft and removes dryness.



 
Lemon: Mix one teaspoon lime juice with one teaspoon avocado and apply this on your face and let it dry for 10-20 minutes.
