Who says having a clean and clear skin is a costly affair? Do blackheads on your face worry you? What if I tell you that a clean and clear skin is waiting to be all yours? There is no need to spend your hard earned money on those expensive scrubs, gels, creams, strips and extractions if you want to get rid of those unsightly blackheads, for here come the best home remedies for cure your blackheads.
                 
* Prepare a mixture of groundnut oil or rose water and equivalent quantity of fresh lime juice and apply on the affected area. Leave for 10-15 minutes and then wash with lukewarm water.

* Apply a mixture of ground drumstick pods and leaves mixed with fresh lime juice on the affected area. Wash when dry.

* Apply mixture of 1 teaspoon coriander or mint leaves juice and half teaspoon of turmeric powder every night before going to bed. Wash in the morning with cold water.

* Make a paste of fresh methi(fenugreek) leaves and a little water. Apply on the affected area and leave for 10-15 minutes every night. Wash with lukewarm water.

* Make a paste of oatmeal or almond powder and rose water and rub it lightly on the affected area. Leave for 10-15 minutes and wash with cold water.

* Apply the pulp of grapes on the affected area, let it dry for 15-20 minutes and then wash your face with warm water.

* Blend cucumber in a blender and apply the paste on the face. Let it dry and then wash with cold water.

* Grate one potato and apply it directly on the affected area.

* In the ratio of 2:1:4, mix glycerine soap, fuller’s earth(multani mutti) and almond powder in boiled water to make a paste. Apply on the blackheads. Leave for some time and then wash with water.

* Apply warm honey on the blackheads and wash after 10-15 minutes.

* Mix 3 tablespoons honey or 1 teaspoon lime juice and 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder and make a smooth paste. Apply it on the affected area before going to bed and wash in the morning with warm water.

* Mix equal quantities of lime juice, almond oil and glycerine and apply on the face.

* Apply undiluted lemon juice 2-3 times a day on the affected areas.

* Boil water for steaming. Add lemon peels and mint leaves to it and steam your face for a few minutes. Then rub the affected area firmly with a towel for 1-2 minutes. Wash with chilled water.

* Prepare a paste by mixing together 1 teaspoon honey and ½ teaspoon rice powder and gently rub it on the affected area. Leave for 10-15 minutes and then wash with water.

* Apply a paste of ground radish seeds and water on the affected area. Leave for 15 minutes and then wash with lukewarm water.

Balance Diet



* Eat raw vegetables in the form of salad.

               
* There should be balanced diet.

* Diet should contain proteins, fats and carbohydrates in proper proportion to provide energy.

* Use mixed diet of cereals and pulses.

* Select fresh vegetables and fruits.


* Avoid dried food.

* For non-vegetarians pulses should be deducted by 50 %( 20-30 gms) and one egg or 30 gms, fish or meat should be given. If there are no pulses in the diet, 2 eggs or 50 gms. Fish or meat should be given.

* One should drink 6-8 glasses (1200-1600 mls.) of water every day.

* During pregnancy there will be more demands of protein, calcium, iron, folic acid, vitamin D and other vitamins.

* There will be more demand for nutrients during lactation.

* Diet should be convenient in preparation.

* Diet should be appetizing and tasty.

* It should not be costly.

* It should be easily available.

* Exercise is required to maintain good health. Suitable exercise should be undertaken daily by every body, especially adults leading sedentary life and elderly people. Walking, swimming, running and cycling etc. can be undertaken daily for at least 30 to 45 minutes.
