It is really hard to face a problem, especially if the problem is on the face. Pimples are the bane of almost every adolescent and sometimes even adult. Nothing can be more annoying than to find a pimple on your face just before a special date or a much-awaited party. It ruins all your efforts to make your skin glow and shine. But don’t let that face monster stress you out anymore. Freeze it out, and bid it goodbye with the help of the following home remedies. They also save you time and money and provide you with a naturally blemish-free skin.

Here are some of the easiest tips you can try:

* Grind neem leaves (bitter neem) with a little water and add a pinch of turmeric powder. Gently rub this paste on the affected area and wash with lukewarm water after 20-25 minutes.

* Just apply a small dot of toothpaste on your pimple and wash after 15-20 minutes.

* Prepare a mask of grated apple and a little honey. Apply on your face. After 15minutes, first wash with warm water and then with cold water.

* Make a paste of sandalwood powder with a few drops of raw milk or rose water. Apply this mixture on the affected area and leave for 20-25 minutes and thereafter gently wash with lukewarm water.

* Make a paste of basil (tulsi) leaves and water and apply this paste on the affected area.

* Make a paste of roasted and powdered pomegranate skin with fresh lime juice and apply over the affected area. Wash with warm water after 15 minutes and pat dry.

* Apply fresh juice of raw papaya (including the skin and seed) on the affected area and wash after 15-20 minutes.

* Cut a clove of garlic and rub the raw part on and around the pimples. Leave for 15-20 minutes and then wash with water. Repeat this process several times a day.

* Prepare a paste of cinnamon powder and honey. Apply it on the affected area and wash with water after 20-25 minutes.

* Cut a tomato into half and rub it gently on the affected area. Leave for 15 minutes and thereafter wash water.

* Grind two cloves with water and apply on the pimples and surrounding area. Leave overnight and wash in the morning.

* Prepare a paste of some fresh fenugreek leaves with water and apply on the affected area before going to bed. Leave overnight and wash in the morning with cold water.

* Make a paste of ground orange peels and water. Apply it on the affected area. Wash thoroughly after 20-30 minutes with lukewarm water.

* Grind some nutmeg with raw milk and apply on the affected area. Leave for 15-20 minutes and then with water.

Underweight Growth.

When the body weight is decreased by 10% or more below the standard reference weight for the age, sex and height, the body is underweight. The underweight person looks lean and thin and emaciated and is more prone to be afflicted  with the infectious diseases as tuberculosis etc. there is anorexia(loss of appetite) so the main aim in the management of underweight is to improve the appetite.


                                        Main causes of underweight


* Imbalanced diet, inadequacy of proteins in the diet may cause low body weight.

* By wasting diseases such as tuberculosis, diabetes, cancer, malabsorption syndrome, diarrhea, dysentery and cholera etc.


* Excessive fasting, most commonly occurs in women.

* Consumption of food in lesser quantity as occurs in persons who are more active and busy, nervous and tense.

* Aversion to eating.

* Lack of interest in eating and food.
 
* Alteration of taste.


* Psychological factors.

* Marasmus in children.


                                                            Remedies


* Energy: take 50 Kcals to the normal requirement.

Note: requirements of the calories depend upon the activities of the person. If there is excessive intake of high caloric foods, digestive troubles as diarrhea may occur.

* Proteins: take 1.2 to 1.5 gm of proteins per kg.

* Fats: fats as ghee, butter and oils etc. should be increased in the diet as they increase the body weight.

Note: avoid fried foods and the foods containing excess of oil. Because they may cause diarrhea or may lessen the appetite.

* Carbohydrates: take carbohydrate containing food stuffs such as wheat, rice, maize, pulses, underground vegetables as potatoes and sweet potatoes etc.

Note: Take groundnuts, almonds, walnuts and cashewnuts as supplements.

* Vitamins and minerals: not require if you’re taking the above mention.

* Fluids: underweight persons should drink water and other fluids after meals as their consumption before a meal suppresses the appetite.

Take fluids such as fresh fruit juices and soups. These will avoid constipation.

Note: underweight persons should have a good appetite.

         Underweight person should not consume such as beverages as alcohol etc., which suppress the appetite.


                               Methods of improving appetite and so food intake


* Avoid the noxious environmental stimuli as unpleasant sight and foul smell etc.

* Mouth of the underweight person should be cleaned before taking food as it promotes eating.

* Cut the food items into small pieces which promote eating.

* Eat food slowly and should take adequate time in chewing, it also promotes eating.

* There should be no fluid intake during meals. Fluids intake during meals reduces food intake, so fluid intake should be after meals.

* Tasty food promotes eating, so the taste of the foods should be improved.

* Encourage exercise which stimulates appetite.
