                                                             Our Kidney

Our bodies produce many substances that would quickly kill us if we did not have an efficient way of getting rid of them. It is our kidneys that filter out all these unwanted substances and pass them out in our urine.

                                                          What is kidney stone?

Kidney stones occur when urine is too concentrated-calcium salts, uric acid and like simply crystallize out. The stones may be tiny and pass of the outside without us even being aware of them. In extreme cases, stones may grow as large as a grapefruit. These big ones require surgery.

Fashion for Souring Summer Season

What to do in order to beat this summer season? This question is very common for everyone. So here are some very useful tips for you to apply and enjoy this summer heat even staying longer hours under hot torrid sun

                                                               Eyes

Protect your eyes from the very harmful ultra-violet rays of sun. It will damage your eyes and causes diseases like protokeratitis or sun blindness.

                                                                      What to do?

Wear sunglasses whenever you step out from your house. Use high quality lenses.

                                                     Skin

Don’t expose your skin to sunlight. Because it causes tanning, premature aging and wrinkling of your skin.

                                                                      What to do?

* Apply sunscream liberally 15 to 30 minutes before exposure to sun.

* Remember to reapply it every two hours and after you swim or dry yourself with a towel. Because sweating can wash away your protection.

* If possible avoid sunlight between 10 am to 3 pm.

* Try to stay away from reflective surfaces.

* Wear a hat with a wide brim, pants and long sleeves.

* Use powder that absorbs sweats.

Reason: fungal and other infections caused by excessive sweating.

* Use a face wash containing an alpha hydroxyl acid in lien of soap.

* If you’ve body odour, splash Al dry lotion under your arms.

* Change underwear twice daily to avoid infection.

* Elbows, hands, face and neck, these are darkening the most. Apply de tanning creams.

* Lipsticks and foundations provide additional sun protection. But use products which are tested and clinically approved.

                                                  Hair

Long-term exposure to sunlight and humidity can make your hair lank or frizzy and brittle.
                                                                   What to do?

* Wash your hair daily with a mild shampoo in lukewarm or cold water.

* Oil your scalp once a week.

* Take green leafy vegetables, almonds, pistachios, they provide vitamin E and zinc that help strengthen hair follicles.

* Wear a scarf or a hat.

* Trim your hair monthly to prevent split ends. It helps to get rid of damaged hair that eventually affects the hair roots.

                                                  Clothes

* Choose cottons, rayons, poplins, mulmuls, chiffons and georgettes.

* These fabrics are sweating absorbent and dry out easily.

* For girls: they can wear hot colours like sunny yellow, bright orange and pink.

* For men: they can wear bright colours like acidic pink, neon green, baby pink, skyblue, mint and lavender. Wear them on formal trousers or skinny jeans teamed with a fitted blazer.

                                                  Feet

* Buy shoes that allow your feet to breathe.

* Sneakers are good for casual use.

* Girls can try footwear in fabrics like khadi, cotton, matka silk and raw silk. They come in fruity colours, red, aqua, peach, orange, light green and bright and dull shades of pink.

Note: shoes get destroyed fast in summer due to sweat, so keep them well aired under a fan during the night, if you’ve worn them the entire day.

Cautions: Wrong footwear can cause shoes bites or blisters and sometimes can even do permanent damage to your foot.
